Former EHL and EHLP Players Combine to Claim 50 Weekly Honors, Get Selected to World University Games, and More

BOSTON, MA -- As we get set to ring in the 'New Year', the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) wanted to take a moment to recognize all of the alumni that are making noise so far this season in the NCAA ranks.

Earlier this week, Austin Master, an alumnus of the Philadelphia Little Flyers, was featured on Episode #149 of the #EShow Podcast, after recently being selected to represent the United States at the upcoming World University Games in Lake Placid, NY.

Master is one of two EHL alumni heading off to New York in just over a week and a half, as Tom Skold who played for both the Boston Jr. Rangers and Vermont Lumberjacks throughout his time in the league, will be hitting the ice for Sweden at the event.

Master is the current captain at Stevenson University, while Skold is in his second season at Westfield State. Stevenson and Westfield are just two programs on a growing list of colleges and universities that our teams help players advance onto each year.

In total, since the league was formed back in 2013, the teams of the EHL and EHLP have combined to help 1551 players commit to 133 different schools for the next step in their respective academic and athletic careers.

What the organizations take great pride in are the roles that these players fill when they arrive at the next level. EHL and EHLP alumni join their collegiate hockey programs ready to be inserted immediately into the lineup, and look no further for proof than the list of weekly honors that continues to grow over the course of every season.

In total, the league is responsible for 50 awards to date, and we can't wait to see that number continue to grow throughout the second half of the 2022-23 season.
