A Look at the Alumni Who've Reached the Highest Levels of Play

BOSTON, MA -- In its 10th year of operation, the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is proud to announce a comprehensive list of alumni players who have advanced onto to play professional hockey.

Since the 2013-14 season the EHL’s primary objective has been developing amateur hockey players and advancing them onto NCAA hockey. To date, over 1500 athletes since the league's inception have played in the EHL and then committed to NCAA hockey playing schools.

Today, this remains the league's primary objective; to assist athletes in furthering their goals and dreams of playing NCAA hockey.  However, an exceptional number of our athletes have moved on further in their hockey careers to playing at the professional level both in the United States and in European professional leagues.

Some of these include players such as Cayden Primeau, the EHL’s Goaltender of the Year & Rookie of the Year in the 2015-16 season. Following his EHL career he was a two-time Hockey East Goaltender of the Year while at Northeastern University. Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2017 National Hockey Hockey (NHL) Draft, Primeau was named to the AHL All-Rookie team back in 2019-20, and has appeared in 18 games to date for the NHL club since the beginning of the 2019 season.

A 3rd round pick in the 2016 NHL draft, Cam Dineen was an EHL Rookie of the Year in 2014-15.  Since his time in the EHL he has appeared in 34 games for the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL.

Eduards Tralmaks is a former EHL MVP and Forward of the Year from the 2015-16 season. The following year he won a Clark Cup with the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League (USHL), and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player of the playoffs. After a four-year NCAA career at the University of Maine, he’s now with the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League (AHL).

With well over 100 professional alumni spread out across the EHL’s 10-year history, the EHL can lay claim to assisting all of the players in its league of helping them achieve their dreams.

With every player comes a different path and next step. Whether it's college hockey, climbing the junior ranks, or professional hockey,  the EHL and the EHLP provide all of our players with the resources to improve their game and keep ascending in their respective journeys.

Every story is different, and we're ready to help you write the next chapter in yours.
