BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce the addition of our first-ever European Combine to the 2023 Combine Series, set to take place in Velke Popovice, Czech Republic.
The EHL European Combine will take place from June 8-11, 2023. The event will feature practices run by EHL coaches, as well as games. The hosting company working with the league will be Czech Hockey Camps - Sports Events.
Czech Hockey Camps is one of the largest training and development camps in all of the Czech Republic, with 900+ athletes each year participating in their clinics, small group skills training, and hockey camps.
Velke Popovice is a historic town located just 30 minutes south of the capital city of Prague. Its roots date back over 1000 years, and is known for its scenic beauty as well as the 150-year old Kozel brewery.
All 26 league organizations are invited to attend throughout the weekend, to help provide a one-of-a-kind experience for all that are involved. Thus far, organizations such as the New England Wolves, Seacoast Spartans, Boston Jr. Terriers, New Jersey Bears and many others are confirmed in attendance.
"We are beyond excited to make this addition to the 2023 EHL Combine Series," said Neil Ravin, the Associate Commissioner of the EHL. "Our talent pool has expanded this season with the increased number of non-American hockey players. There are so many talented players across the world that fall right in next year's junior hockey age range, 2003 to 2007. We're looking forward to teaching more of these players about what our league has to offer."
Players can begin registering today on the Czech Hockey Camps website, see link below.
For any parents and/or players looking for addition information, they can reach out directly to Andrew Trimble from the New England Wolves.
