Wizards First-Year Forward Set to Join Ravens this Fall

BEDFORD, MA -- Nick Fish, a forward for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to Franklin Pierce University (FPU) for the fall of 2023.

The '03 native of Ashland, MA is in his first season with the Wizards, and the junior hockey rookie has tallied 22 points in 40 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date.

“Nick has had a great rookie season coming out of prep school, and we’re excited to see his hard work pay off with his commitment to FPU," said Wizards head coach and general manager Kory Falite. "He plays 200 feet with a lot of skill and a great shot. He’s an awesome kid off the ice, and we know that he will have a lot of success at the next level.”

Fish is the first of two EHL players that have committed to Franklin Pierce so far this season, with the other one being Rocco Seery, a current teammate of his on the Wizards. Overall, Fish and Seery have combined to increase the total number of EHL players that have chosen the Ravens up to 42.

It's also important to note that FPU has committed at least one player from the EHL in every season since the league was formed back in 2013.

“I want to thank my coaches, my family, and my teammates,” said Fish. “Playing hockey is a privilege and I didn’t think I would ever make it this far, but I’m excited for the future and to finish out this season with the Wizards.”

Heading into the second-to-last weekend of the regular season, Fish and the Wizards have three games remaining on their schedule. Trailing the Seahawks Hockey Club by four points, Fish and the Wizards likely need to win all of their remaining games in order to avoid the Play-In Round in the upcoming East Division Playoffs.
