Express Veteran Forward Set to Join Trailblazers this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Addam Brunner, a forward for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Hamburg, NY is in his second season with the Express, and over the course of 87 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Brunner has tallied 32 total points to his credit.

“It has been great to see him grow and develop into a leadership roll on our team," said Express head coach Nic Cota. "I look forward to watching his continued success in college.”

Brunner is the latest EHL player to add his name to the growing list of incoming freshmen that will help MCLA re-launch their NCAA Division III hockey program this fall. Brunner's group of future teammates from the EHL includes Josh Romanowski from the Connecticut Chiefs, Walter Brown V and Christian Nawrocki from the Connecticut RoughRiders, Matt Gover and Cody White from the East Coast Wizards, Jack Bortle from the New England Wolves, Colin Ogborn and Luke Rhoss from the Philadelphia Hockey Club, and Cade Herrera from the Seahawks Hockey Club.

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity the Express have given me over the last two seasons,” said Brunner. “I’d like to thank all of my family, teammates, and coaches for the support. I’m excited to bring the Express culture to MCLA.”

Brunner and the Express are just a few days away from dropping the puck on their East Division Finals series against the Boston Jr. Rangers. This year's matchup is a rematch of the last year's East Division Finals, in which the Express won 2-0 and punched their first-ever ticket to Providence, and the EHL Frozen Finals. Brunner will be looking to help his team repeat history later this week.
