"I am very proud to step back into the head coaching position at the Philadelphia Hockey Club and continue to build on the values and principles we have stood behind since the franchise's inauguration," said Bartholomay. "We look forward to a very competitive season and building a team around character and structure."

As Bartholomay mentioned, he had previously served as junior coach for PHC back when the program was operating out of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). In the transition over to the EHL this past season (2022-23), Bartholomay acted as an Assistant General Manager while coaching both the 18U and 16U teams for PHC. The alum of Nebraska-Omaha is excited to get back behind the bench at the junior level once again.

"It's only been a season removed from the junior game, but I'm excited to get back fully into it, while our time in the EHL is still young," added Bartholomay. "Jeff [Perreault] did a great job setting a foundation for our program in year #1, and I'm looking forward to seeing how we can build off of last year's accomplishments in the ever-difficult South Division."

It's also important to note that Bartholomay is well-connected with many of the coaches in the EHL, including the staff with the Seahawks Hockey Club in particular.

Back in 2010-11 season, Bartholomay was a part of the Mississippi Surge team that won the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Championship. A pair of Bartholomay's teammates that year were Bill Zaniboni, the General Manager and EHL Head Coach for the Seahawks, and Mike Richard who serves as the EHLP Head Coach for the Seahawks.

Bartholomay and the rest of the coaches from around the EHL and EHLP are gearing up for the upcoming 2023 EHL Combine Series, which is set to resume next Thursday, April 13th in Walpole, MA.
