Bridgewater Set to Return to Action in the #EShow this September

BRIDGEWATER, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce that the Bridgewater Bandits have returned to the #EShow, ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 season.

"We're excited for the Bandits to make their return to the league," said Joe Bertagna, the Commissioner of the EHL and EHLP. "While I wasn't with the league back in the 2016-17 season, I was able to cross paths with a former Bandit who advanced his way up to Hockey East. The Bandits have put together a strong track record of developing their players for the next level, and we're happy to have them back."

The player that Bertagna is referencing is Eduards Tralmaks, a current member of the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League (AHL), and 2015-16 Most Valuable Player in the EHL.

Following his time in the EHL, Tralmaks went on to win the Clark Cup in the United States Hockey League (USHL), and he was named the playoff MVP that year after scoring 10 goals in 14 postseason games. The next step for the '97 native of Latvia took Tralmaks to the University of Maine, an NCAA Division I program with a strong history in the Hockey East Association (HEA).

Tralmaks was one of 46 players that the Bandits helped advance onto NCAA hockey from 2013 to 2017 (four seasons), but he isn't the only one currently playing professional hockey.

Tyler Drevitch hit the ice for the Bandits prior to Tralmaks arrival, back in the 2013-14 season, the first season of the EHL. Following his time in the #EShow, Drevitch played in both the USHL and North American Hockey League (NAHL), before advancing onto Merrimack College and now the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL.

Other NCAA programs that the Bandits helped players commit to from the years 2013 to 2017 include top Division III schools such as Babson College, Plattsburgh State, and Salve Regina University, to name a few.

Bridgewater will be bringing both of their junior programs back to the #EShow, therefore they will join the East Division at the EHL level and the Boston Division in the EHLP.

Scott Drevitch will be the Head Coach of the EHL team and the General Manager for the entire program, while Joey McDermott will lead the way for the EHLP team. The rest of the coaching staff will include Rob Jones, the Director of Athletic Performance and Assistant Coach for the both the EHL and EHLP teams, as well as Rob Peters, who serves as the Head Scout for the organization.

Please join the #EShow in welcoming the Bandits back to the league, in both the EHL and the EHLP.
