SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- Hans Forselius, a forward for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Saint Michael's College (SMC) for the fall of 2023.
The '02 native of Guilford, CT recently finished his second season with the Seahawks, and first full year in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Overall, in 61 career games in the EHL, Forselius tallied 38 points to his credit on 18 goals and 20 assists.
"Hans established himself as a key part of the Seahawks program for the past two seasons and has shown great poise with the puck and the vision and ability to make plays in high traffic areas," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni.
With Forselius' commitment, SMC has now committed 27 total players from the EHL since the league was formed back in 2013. This year's two future Purple Knights both come from the Seahawks, as Forselius will reunite with Ben Baxter when he arrives on campus in the fall.
"I first off would like to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to play junior hockey," said Forselius. "I would also like to thank Coach Zaniboni and Coach [Mike] Richard, who have helped me grow so much as a player and person. I am very excited to be joining Saint Michaels this coming fall. The schools' academics and strong hockey program made it easy for me to make this decision."
