The '02 native of Wake Forest, NC recently finished his third and final season with the Lumberjacks' program, and second at the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) level. Collins career under the #EShow umbrella began at the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) level in 2020-21, where he tallied 26 points in 19 games. Collins was called up to join the EHL team for the stretch run of that season and stuck in the top level throughout the end of this past March. Overall, in 106 career games in the EHL, Collins tallied 61 total points to his credit on 15 goals and 46 assists.

“Jackson is a person of high character, and it translates to the ice as well," said Lumberjacks' EHL head coach Seth Gustin. "He puts others before himself, has tremendous work ethic, and did a great job as part of the leadership group this past season. He is a model Lumberjack, and I know he will continue to positively impact those around him not only at Fitchburg State but in everything he does in life. The positive sentiment towards Collins was matched by Jack Lowry, the Head Coach of Vermont's EHLP team.

“Fitchburg State is getting one of the most coachable, hard-working, leaders both on and off the ice,” added Lowry. “It is great to see Jackson reach his goal. His best is yet to come.”

As for what is to come next, this fall Collins will be one of six EHL players heading off to join Fitchburg State. When he arrives on campus, Collins will team up with Adam Nedelka of the Boston Jr. Rangers, Andrew Woloszyn of the New Hampshire Avalanche, Graham Broadfoot of the Protec Jr. Ducks, and both Isaiah McKinney and Kris Zapata from the New Jersey 87's.

“I’d like to thank all my family, friends, and coaches who have helped, pushed, and most of all, supported me throughout my career," said Collins. "I also would like to thank the Lumberjacks for the past three seasons. The Lumberjacks taught me what hockey was all about and gave me a second family. I will always cherish my time and the people I have meet in Vermont. I couldn’t have asked a better place to spend the last 3 years.”
