Maryland Goaltender Set to Join Golden Flyers this Fall

ODENTON, MD -- Lincoln Crosby, a goaltender for Team Maryland, has committed to Nazareth College for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Washington, D.C. chose Maryland for his final season of junior hockey, and combined between the regular season and the postseason, Crosby won 13 games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) this past year.

"We would like to congratulate Lincoln on his commitment and for his time here with us," said Maryland head coach and general manager Josh Fusco. "Lincoln is an elite goalie; he competes hard and is always spending time working on his craft. He was a huge part of this years success especially in the home stretch of the season for us. I also cannot thank our goalie coach [Jason Wolfe] enough for the time spent and the work he put in with Lincoln."

As Fusco mentioned, Crosby was huge down the stretch for Team Maryland, and look no further than his postseason numbers for the proof. In four total starts this past March, Crosby owned a record of 2-0-2 to go along with a 1.28 GAA and a .961 save percentage.

Forming a tremendous duo with Collin Berke, a fellow goaltender that is committed to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) for this upcoming fall, the pair of age-out netminders nearly carried Maryland all the way to their first-ever appearance at the EHL Frozen Finals.

Despite falling just short, Crosby now joins Will Halecki of the Boston Jr. Rangers, as part of the incoming freshmen class at Nazareth in the fall. Overall, the Golden Flyers have committed 28 total players from the EHL since the league was formed back in 2013, and that includes at least a single player in all 10 seasons.
