Week 2 Stars Headlined by Ryan Crowshaw's 69-save Winning Performance

BOSTON, MA -- Week 2 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Stars of the Week for September 18th through 24th are presented by Hockey Night in Boston.

North Division

Sander Selvaer - New England Wolves (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Sander Selvaer as the North Division Star of the Week. The ‘04 native of Stavanger, Norway was impressive in the Wolves two games over the weekend. He totaled five points as New England got off to a hot start. Selvear had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over Seacoast on Friday, plus an additional goal and two assists in their 6-2 win on Saturday (also against the Spartans). Next up for the 2-0-0 Wolves, is a trip to the Worcester Showcase to play the New Jersey Bears, Seahawks Hockey Club and Bridgewater Bandits.

East Division

Cody Walker - Express Hockey Club (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Cody Walker as the East Division Star of the Week. Walker, an ’03 native of Boise, ID was an essential part of the Express Hockey Club's 8-1 win over the Bridgewater Bandits in their opening game of the season. Walker exploded for six total points in the win (3G, 3A). Next up for Walker and the Express, they have three key games in the Worcester Showcase this weekend taking on H.C. Rhode Island, the Connecticut RoughRiders and the Vermont Lumberjacks.

Honorable Mention: Daxton St. Hillaire, F, East Coast Wizards

Central Division

Ryan Crowshaw - Connecticut Chiefs (G)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is goalie Ryan Crowshaw from the Connecticut Chiefs. The '04 native of West Hartford, CT had a stellar performance in his team’s 2-1 win over the New York Apple Core. Crowshaw racked up an astounding 69 saves in the win, while allowing just one goal in the Chiefs' first victory of the season. The Chiefs have an exciting weekend ahead taking on the Valley Jr. Warriors, New Jersey 87's, and Boston Jr. Rangers at the league-wide showcase.

South Division

Erik Tarneberg - New Jersey 87's (G)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is New Jersey 87’s goalie Erik Tarneberg, who had two big wins in net this week. The '03 native of Gothenberg, Sweden helped his team go 2-0-0 this past week by allowing just two goals with 45 total saves in the 87’s wins over the Philadelphia Little Flyers and Team Maryland. Tarneberg has a 0.98 GAA in his two starts so far. Next up for Tarneberg and the 87’s is a trip to the Worcester Showcase to take on the Chiefs, Rangers, and Seacoast Spartans.

New-England Division

Harrison Kramer - New England Wolves (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Harrison Kramer from the New England Wolves as the New England Division Star of the Week. The ’06 Redlands, CA native helped the Wolves to a 3-0-0 week tallying three goals and two assists in the trio of victoies. After dropping their first game of the season, the Wolves had a big week beating the Avalanche 5-2 on Thursday, which was followed up by a pair of victories over the Chiefs on Saturday, in which the scores were 3-0 and 7-1. The Wolves have three games coming up in the Worcester Showcase against the Railers Jr. Hockey Club, the Philadelphia Little Flyers, and the Bandits. 

Honorable Mention: Josh ArrobasF, Adirondack Jr Thunder

Boston Division

Andrew Duval - Valley Jr Warriors (F)

The EHLP Boston Division Star of the Week for week two is forward Andrew Duval from the Valley Jr. Warriors. The ’05 Tewksbury, MA native has helped the Warriors get off to a 3-0-0 start on the season. Duval tallied eight total points (3G, 5A) in the first three games of the year, as Warriors beat the Avalanche 8-3, the Bandits 11-1, and the Rangers 5-3. Duval and the Warriors look to keep it going this weekend at the Worcester Showcase taking on the Chiefs, the Pennsylvania Huntsman, and the Union Jr. Thunder.

Mid-Atlantic Division

Nazar Atta El-Manan - New Jersey 87's (F)

The Mid-Atlantic Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Nazar Atta El-Manan from the New Jersey 87’s. The ’05 native of Moscow, Russia was a vital part in the 87’s two wins this past week. El-Manan tallied one goal and three assists over the course of his team's 5-2 win over the Huntsman on Saturday and 5-2 victory over the Little Flyers on Sunday. Next up for El-Manan and the 87's is a trip up to Worcester to take on the Express Hockey Club, Railers, and Avalanche in this weekend’s showcase.
