Fusco served as a Head Coach in the league for six seasons, with the first two years coming with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, and the final four being spent with Team Maryland.

Along with leading the Knights to the 2019 EHL Frozen Finals, and taking last year's (2022-23) Maryland squad to within a game of Providence, Fusco helped 48 players make their NCAA commitment throughout his time in the league.

"Josh made a tremendous impact on our program over the past 4 years and has done an excellent job of moving our players on to college and higher levels of juniors," said Team Maryland via their Instagram page when the announcement was made back in August. "He also played a huge role in building the winning culture that we have developed here in Maryland, as we made the playoffs in all 4 seasons under Fusco's leadership. We are extremely proud of Coach Fusco and we are extremely thankful for everything he's done for our program."

Joining Fusco at the NCAA level this fall will be Janine Weber, a former Assistant Coach for H.C. Rhode Island, who is now serving in the same role at the College of the Holy Cross.

“I am very grateful to have been part of the OverSpeed Hockey and H.C. Rhode Island families," said Weber. "The organization and team will always hold a special place in my coaching memories, as I have learned so much and shared so many positive professional and personal experiences with everyone. At the same time I am extremely excited to take the next step forward in my coaching career at Holy Cross and in Hockey East. Getting to learn even more and share my experiences with our players is something I am very much looking forward to."

While Toby O'Brien is disappointed that Weber's time with his program only lasted for a single season, the franchise Co-Owner and General Manager is also beyond proud of the step that his former coach is taking this year.

“Janine has grown into a high-end coach for sure, but even more so, she is an elite person," said O'Brien. "We always talk about creating family and Coach Weber exemplifies that. She is one of my favorite people, but she is also one of my favorite coaches and people to work with. There were times we’d be on the ice and we could finish each other's sentences. She epitomizes the term ‘rock star’, and she has truly earned this opportunity."

While the EHL and EHLP take tremendous pride in the players that we've helped advance throughout the years, we're also beyond proud of all the coaches that have used the league as a platform of their own, to help them climb the ladder as well.
