Egorov, Warner-Senee Lead Stars Into Break

BOSTON, MA -- Week #10 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Stars of the Week for November 14th through 21st are presented by Hockey Night in Boston.

North Division

Austin Peterson - Valley Jr Warriors (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Austin Peterson of the Valley Jr. Warriors as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’04 native of Pittsburgh, PA put up four points (2G, 2A) in a big 6-2 win over the New England Wolves. Through 14 games played for the Jr. Warriors, Peterson has been clutch, tallying 16 points (11G, 5A) and has been key on the forward line. The Jr. Warriors have been playing well as of late and hope to keep it going following Thanksgiving break when they host Providence Hockey Club on Thursday, November 30th.

East Division

Will Rice - East Coast Wizards (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Will Rice from the East Coast Wizards as the East Division Star of the Week. Rice, an ’04 native of Cambridge, MA helped his team go 2-0-0 this past week. He had an assist in a 5-2 win over the Seacoast Spartans on Thursday, and then tallied a hat-trick including the overtime winner in a 5-4 win to sweep the home-and-home series on Friday. Through 19 games for the Wizards, Rice has 25 points (11G, 14A) and most recently committed to Bowdoin College for next fall. The Wizards have been hot, winners of their last five straight, and currently hold a record of 14-4-2. They will be off until December 1st when they play the Express Hockey Club at Rodman Arena at 12-noon.

Central Division

Nick Sweet - New York Apple Core (F)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is forward Nick Sweet from the New York Apple Core. The ’03 native of Imperial, PA had three goals and an assist in two games last week. Sweet had a goal in a 6-2 win over the Connecticut Chiefs and then tallied two goals and an assist in a 6-4 loss to the New Jersey Bears. Sweet has been a staple on the forward line for the Apple Core this season and has 25 points (11G, 14A) in 19 games played. Next up, the Apple Core will take on the Railers Jr. Hockey Club, the onle team they currently trail in the Central Division, on November 30th at the Worcester Ice Center.

South Division

Oleg Egorov - New Jersey Bears (F)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is New Jersey Bears forward Oleg Egorov. Egorov, an ’04 native of Moscow, Russia helped his team go 4-0-0 by contributing with four goals and four assists. He had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Team Maryland and in a 5-4 win over the Connecticut RoughRiders. Egorov then put together a big game in a 6-4 win over the Apple Core, tallying two goals and two assists to his credit. The Bears continue to roll and are 12-0-1 in their last 13 games. They currently hold the top spot in the South Division with an 18-2-1 mark. Next up, they host the Philadelphia Little Flyers on November 29th at Flemington Ice Arena at 12-noon.

New-England Division

Connor Kelley - Vermont Lumberjacks (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Connor Kelley from the Vermont Lumberjacks as the New England Division Star of the Week. The ’05 Essex, VT native had a key goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over the Express and also scored a goal in a 7-2 loss against the Railers. Kelley has been a strong asset to the Lumberjacks offense this season as he has 19 points (10G, 9A) in 21 games. The Lumberjacks will be off for a while as they wont hit the ice again until December 15th when they host the Adirondack Jr. Thunder at Leddy Arena.

Boston Division

Zack Warner-Senee - Railers Jr Hockey Club (F)

The EHLP Boston Division Star of the Week for week ten is forward Zackary Warner-Senee from the Railers. The ’06 Leominster, MA native helped his team go 3-0-0 in a big week. Warner-Senee first added a goal in a 5-1 win over the Bridgewater Bandits, had two goals and an assist in a 7-2 win over the Lumberjacks, and had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the New England Wolves. Warner-Senee has been a key offensive weapon for the 18-2-0 Railers this season with 26 points (10G, 16A) in 19 games. The Railers are now off until December 2nd when they play the Express at Rodman Arena at 7:00 pm.

Mid-Atlantic Division

Donte Neve - Philadelphia Little Flyers (F)

The Mid-Atlantic Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Donte Neve from the Philadelphia Little Flyers. The ’05 native of Plymouth Meeting, PA helped his team go 2-0-0 with one goal and three assists in the two games. Neve had two assists in a 5-2 win over the Union Jr. Thunder on Saturday, and a goal and an assist in a 7-2 win to finish off the weekend sweep on Sunday. The Little Flyers are hanging tough in a strong Mid-Atlantic Division and are currently in third place with an 8-8-4 record, trailing only the Pennsylvania Huntsmen and the New Jersey 87’s. The Little Flyers will play next on December 10th against the 87’s at Jersey Shore Arena.
