Former EHL and EHLP Players Combine to Claim 50 NCAA Weekly Honors, Make NHL Debuts, and More

BOSTON, MA -- As we get set to ring in the 'New Year', the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) wanted to take a moment to recognize all of the alumni that are making noise so far this season in the NCAA and professional ranks.

Earlier this season, former EHL defenseman Marc Del Gaizo made his debut in the National Hockey League (EHL) with the Nashville Predators. Del Gaizo quickly made his presence felt on the big stage by tallying three assists in his first five games. Del Gaizo is back in the American Hockey League (EHL) now, where he has 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) in 18 total games to date with the Milwaukee Admirals.

Del Gaizo and Cayden Primeau, a goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens, lead the class of former EHL players that are currently competing across the world in the professional ranks.

Prior to the highest levels of hockey, that both Del Gaizo and Primeau have reached, both competed in the NCAA ranks and are part of the league's total of 1709 commitments and counting at the end of the 2023 calendar year.

What the organizations of the EHL and EHLP take great pride in are the roles that these players fill when they arrive at their respective colleges. EHL and EHLP alumni join their collegiate hockey programs ready to be inserted immediately into the lineup, and look no further for proof than the list of weekly honors that continues to grow over the course of every season.

In total, the league is responsible for over 50 awards to date, and we can't wait to see that number continue to grow throughout the second half of the 2023-24 season.
