Goaltenders Dominate First Week of 2024

BOSTON, MA -- Week #16 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Stars of the Week for January 4th through January 7th are presented by Hockey Night in Boston.

North Division

Greyson Pane - Valley Jr Warriors (G)

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Greyson Pane of the Valley Jr. Warriors as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’03 native of Grosse Pointe Park, MI was fantastic in his team's 3-1 win over the Vermont Lumberjacks. Pane allowed one goal and had 39 saves in one of his best performances of the season. Pane was also a Star of the Week back in Week #4, and in 10 games started for the Warriors, he has posted a 3.16 GAA. The Warriors will be back in action on Thursday when they host the Seahawks Hockey Club at 11:00 am.

East Division

Michael Del Trecco - Boston Jr Terriers (G)

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Michael Del Trecco from the Boston Jr. Terriers as the East Division Star of the Week. Del Trecco, an ’04 native of Stoneham, MA had a terrific performance in his team’s 4-1 win over the Express Hockey Club. He allowed just one goal, while making 49 saves in his second start with his new team. In his combined starts this season, he is 3-0-0 with a 1.13 GA. The Jr. Terriers next play on Wednesday against the New England Wolves at Merrill Fay Arena at 1:45 pm.

Central Division

Clayton Elsbree - HC Rhode Island (G)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is goaltender Clayton Elsbree from H.C. Rhode Island. The ’04 native of Ketchum, ID had a shutout performance in a 4-0 win over the Seacoast Spartans. Elsbree had 40 saves in his team’s big win and has been solid all season-long for them. In 10 starts, he is 6-4-0 with a 3.31 GAA in 544 minutes played. Next up, they have a big tilt with the Railers Jr. Hockey Club on Tuesday at the Worcester Ice Center at 11:30 am.

South Division

Roman Winicki - Philadelphia Hockey Club (F)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is Philadelphia Hockey Club forward Roman Winicki. Winicki, an ’03 native of East Setauket, NY had two big performances in his team’s first two games back from holiday break. Winicki put up four goals and three assists in the two games. He had a hat trick and an assist in Philadelphia Hockey Club’s 6-3 win over Team Maryland and one goal and two assists in their 4-1 win over the New Jersey 87’s.  He has been outstanding all season with 27 points (11G, 16A) in 30 games played. Next up, PHC will host the Philadelphia Little Flyers on Friday night at 7:30 pm.

New-England Division

Harrison Kramer - New England Wolves (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Harrison Kramer from the New England Wolves as the New England Division Star of the Week. The ’06 Redlands, CA native had a seven-point performance in his team’s 10-3 win over the Adirondack Jr. Thunder. Kramer had an impressive five goals in the game, while also chipping in two assists in his stand-out performance. Kramer was a Star of the Week back in Week #2 and has put up 36 points (20G, 16A) in 25 games played for the Wolves. Next up, the Wolves play a road double-header against the Seahawks Hockey Club on Friday on the Cape.

Boston Division

Andrew Ladd - Express Hockey Club (G)

The EHLP Boston Division Star of the Week for Week #16 is goaltender Andrew Ladd from the Express Hockey Club. The ’04 Walpole, MA native had a fantastic outing against the first place Railers beating them 4-1. Ladd allowed just one goal, while making 39 saves and shutting down a potent Railers offense. He has been impressive with Express this season going 6-1-0 with a 2.86 GAA in 482 minutes played. The Express is now off until January 20th when they take on the Valley Jr. Warriors.

Mid-Atlantic Division

Robert Calice - New Jersey 87's (F)

The Mid-Atlantic Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Robert Calice from the New Jersey 87’s. The ’03 native of Manalapan, NJ played a big role in this team’s 6-2 win over the New Jersey Renegades. Calice had three goals and an assist in the win. In 12 games with the 87’s this season, Calice has 11 points (5G, 6A). The 87’s currently hold a 16-9-0 record and are in second place behind the Pennsylvania Huntsmen in the Mid-Atlantic Division. In their next game, they take on the Union Jr. Thunder on Saturday at Union Sports Arena at 8:30 pm.
