Lamberti’s Near-Perfect Effort Headlines Star Performances

BOSTON, MA -- Week #18 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Stars of the Week for January 16th through January 22nd are presented by Hockey Night in Boston.

North Division

Brett Baldassare - Seacoast Spartans (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Brett Baldassare of the Seacoast Spartans as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’03 native of Danvers, MA had a goal and two assists in his team’s 5-1 win over the New England Wolves. Baldassare also scored in the Spartans’ 4-3 overtime win against the Wolves. He is having a terrific season for the Spartans. In 24 games, Baldassare has 27 points (11G, 16A). The Spartans look to make it four straight when they take on the New Hampshire Avalanche on Thursday at the Ice Den Arena at 12-noon.

East Division

Bret Beale - Boston Jr Rangers (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Bret Beale from the Boston Jr. Rangers as the East Division Star of the Week. Beale, an ’03 native of Highland, MI had a huge performance in his team’s 10-1 win over the Bridgewater Bandits. Beale had four goals and an assist in the win. Beale also chipped in an assist in a 4-1 win over the Express Hockey Club. Beale has been a staple offensive weapon for the Jr. Rangers all season as he has 37 points (13G, 24A) in 28 games played. The Jr. Rangers are currently in a three-team battle in the East Division with the East Coast Wizards and the Express. The look to keep it going on Wednesday facing off against the Boston Jr. Terriers at 12-noon at the Canton Sportsplex.

Central Division

Vincent Lamberti - Connecticut RoughRiders (G)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is goaltender Vincent Lamberti from the Connecticut RoughRiders. The ’04 native of Los Angeles, CA had an outstanding performance in his team’s 2-1 win over the first place Railers Jr. Hockey Club. Lamberti played his best game of the season, giving up just one goal and making 45 saves in the big win. It was his first start (back from injury) for the RoughRiders since October. In seven appearances, he is 3-3-0 with a 2.61 GAA. They next host the New York Apple Core on Friday at SoNo Ice House at 11:30 am.

South Division

Xavier Tremblay - Team Maryland (F)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is Team Maryland forward Xavier Tremblay. Tremblay, an ’04 native of Canada had Team Maryland’s two goals in a 6-2 loss to the New Jersey Bears. He also had the overtime winning goal in a 5-4 win over the Bears. Tremblay followed that up with four total goals in back-to-back 6-3 wins over the RoughRiders. He continues to be a driving force on Team Maryland with 30 points (15G, 15A) in 33 games. Next up, they take on the Pennsylvania Huntsmen on Wednesday at Power Play Rinks at 11:30 am.

New-England Division

Cole Davidson - Adirondack Jr. Thunder (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Cole Davidson from the Adirondack Jr. Thunder as the New England Division Star of the Week. The ’05 Averill Park, NY native had a strong showing in his team’s 6-3 win over the New England Wolves. Davidson had four points in the win including a hat-trick. He continues to light it up for the Jr. Thunder with 49 points (26G, 23A) in 30 games played. This is Davidson’s fourth Star of the Week honor this season and he was also a Player of the Month back in November. They continue to hold first place in the New England Division with a 21-5-4 record. They take on the New Hampshire Avalanche next on Saturday night at 7:30 pm.

Boston Division

Carson Low - Seahawks Hockey Club (F)

The EHLP Boston Division Star of the Week for week 18 is forward Carson Low from the Seahawks Hockey Club. The ’06 Chicago, IL native had a big week for the Seahawks. In three games played, he tallied three goals and four assists. Low started the week with a goal in a 7-5 win over the Bridgewater Bandits. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Bandits, and capped off a great week with a goal and three assists in a 7-3 victory over the Boston Jr. Rangers. Low now has 14 points in 27 games played for the Seahawks. Next up, they take on the Avalanche on Tuesday at 12-noon.

Mid-Atlantic Division

Klim Khramtsov - New Jersey 87's (F)

The Mid-Atlantic Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Klim Khramtsov from the New Jersey 87’s. The ’06 native of Moscow, Russia had an impressive eight points (6G, 2A) in his team’s two games this week. Khramtsov scored a hat-trick in the 87’s 7-2 win over the New Jersey Renegades. He followed that up with a five-point performance (3G, 2A) in a 15-3 win against the Renegades. Khramtsov continues to be a strong force on the forward line with 28 total points in 24 games played. The 87’s currently hold second place in the Mid-Atlantic Division with a 20-10-0 record. They travel to take on the Philadelphia Little Flyers on Saturday night at Ice Works Arena.
