The educational model and structure that BHA has set up, has proved and will continue to be a system that helps prepare young athletes for next steps in their respective careers, which now includes a platform to elevate to the junior ranks, all while staying under the program's umbrella.

BHA's junior team will be known as the Boston Dukes, and will skate out of the Breakaway Ice Center in Tewksbury, MA. 

"This transaction is further confirmation of the mission statement of our league, as we continue to put the players first, each of whom is on their own respective path to the next step in their career," said Neil Ravin, the Commissioner of the EHL. "Having established ourselves in the junior hockey market as the leader in NCAA placements on the East Coast, we will continue to increase the gap with the addition of the Dukes into our league. I have full confidence that BHA will quickly establish themselves in the EHL, and further solidify our mission to the junior hockey world." 

Alongside Bostic, who serves as the President of BHA, the Dukes will be led by John Andersen as the team's first EHL Head Coach.

"Boston Dukes EHL gives our platform another level of player development and exposure in a great league," said Bostic. "Our Elite training environment and facilities here at Breakaway Ice Center will allow our players to move directly onto NCAA, as well as higher levels of junior hockey. We are excited to start working with such a great league and ownership group."

The excitement towards joining the junior ranks via the EHL is felt equally by Andersen.

"I'm excited to return to coaching junior hockey," said Andersen. "The opportunity again to help student athletes get into the challenging world of college hockey, is when that I welcome. The EHL is a fantastic league to help those athletes achieve their dreams of playing hockey in college."
