EHLP Most Valuable Player Set to Join Rams this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Charlie Dimartino, a forward for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to Framingham State University for the fall of 2024.

The '04 native of Braintree, MA chose the Express for what turned out to be his first and only season of junior hockey. After leading the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) in scoring with 86 points (43 goals, 43 assists) in the regular season, DiMartino was named the Most Valuable Player of the EHLP. The talented scorer was also given six games of action in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), notching a goal to his credit.

"Charlie was awesome to have in the Express program this past season," said Express EHL head coach Nic Cota. "Obviously being dominant at the P level he was given a half dozen games at the EHL level, and still found great success. Congratulations to Charlie and his family, we wish we could have him return, but can’t wait to watch him compete at the NCAA level!"

DiMartino was a threat every time he touched the ice this past season, and nearly carried the Express to the 2024 Frozen Finals, after notching 10 points in five playoff games. Despite having a season of junior eligibility still available, DiMartino is ready to make the jump now to the NCAA ranks,

"I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and the Express organization for giving me the resources to grow as a hockey player and as a person," said DiMartino. "I would also like to thank my teammates for pushing and supporting me everyday."

DiMartino will team up with Zach Pappas from the Boston Jr. Rangers when he arrives on campus this fall, as the pair of players make up the league's two commitments to Framingham State so far.
