EHL and EHLP Announce Key Dates and Locations for 2024-25 Season

Opening Day Set for September 19th

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce the key event dates and locations for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The 12th year of the EHL, and 10th season of the EHLP, will begin on Thursday, September 19th.

As for the showcases, this upcoming season will feature three league-wide events in the EHL and two league-wide events in the EHLP. In addition, the EHL will put on a regional showcase for 18 of the 24 teams in November.

  • EHL/EHLP League-Wide Showcase -- October 3rd through 6th (Worcester, MA and Wellesley, MA)
     
  • EHL Regional Showcase (North/East/Central) -- November 5th through 7th (Walpole, MA)
     
  • EHL League-Wide Showcase -- December 17th through 19th (Haverhill, MA)
     
  • EHL/EHLP League-Wide Showcase -- March 7th through 10th (Aston, PA)

Along with the 2024-25 EHL/EHLP Showcase Series, the EHL All-Star College Series will be returning for its 7th season, with a fresh set of NCAA Division II/III opponents.

Over the course of October 22nd through 26th, the EHL will put together of trio All-Stars teams, just like this past year, for a set of exhibition games against collegiate opponents.

  • North/East All-Star Team
    • October 22nd vs. Keene State College
    • October 23rd  vs. Wentworth Institute of Technology
       
  • South/Central All-Star Team
    • October 22nd vs. Post University
    • October 23rd vs. Johnson & Wales University
       
  • Main All-Star Team
    • October 25th vs. SUNY Brockport
    • October 26th vs. Elmira College

Each NCAA matchup will also include an academic tour of the campus, along with a tour of all the athletics facilities that each school has to offer. For the 78 players (26 per team) that are chosen to represent the EHL, they are provided with a unique opportunity that is not offered by any other junior league in the country.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Road to Providence will begin, with a slight twist this season. This year's Frozen Finals at Schneider Arena will feature a pair of best-of-three Championship Series, with those spots earned through an expanded playoff route to Rhode Island.
