Seacoast Forward Set to Join Greyhounds this Fall

EXETER, NH -- Brett Baldassare, a forward for the Seacoast Spartans, has committed to Assumption University for the fall of 2024.

The Danvers, MA native, born in 2003, exhibited his skills throughout the 2023-24 season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), playing 36 games and recording 31 points with 12 goals and 19 assists.

"Brett was a top player for us all season," said Spartans head coach and general manager Brett Tryder. "He has a great feel for the game and has great vision and touch. He battled through some injuries, but when he was healthy, he proved to be one of the better players in the league. Assumption is the perfect fit for Baldy, and I am excited to track his NCAA career."

Baldassare will join fellow EHL players Declan Chapman from the Railers Jr. Hockey Club, Caden Connors from the Valley Jr. Warriors, and Gavin Dach from the Boston Jr. Terriers at Assumption. This talented group will strengthen the Greyhounds' lineup for the upcoming NCAA Division II season, as they look to defend their Championship in the Northeast-10 (NE-10)

"From day one of pre-season camp to the end of the season, competing with the great group of teammates and coaching staff made my experience with Seacoast very memorable," said Baldassare. "I want to thank Coach Tryder and Coach Montecalvo for preparing me for the college-level game. Their top priority is their commitment to their players on and off the ice. I also want to thank my coaches from the Winchendon School, and my family for all of their support. I am very excited to play for Coach Looney and his staff and continue my athletic and academic career at Assumption University."
