Seahawks All-Star Forward Joins Raiders

SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- Mike Caparco, a forward for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Rivier University for the fall of 2024.

An '03 from Cranston, RI, Caparco has spent the past two seasons in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) with the Seahawks. In his first season, he played 37 games, recording three goals and nine assists for a total of 12 points. In the 2023-24 season, he played 44 games, tallying 13 goals and 12 assists for a total of 25 points.

"We are very excited for Mike and his family. Rivier is getting a very good player and person," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "We are excited to watch Mike keep using his speed and put defenders on their heels. Mike has grown as a player in the two years as a Seahawk, and we are sure he will continue to grow at Rivier."

Caparco will be joining up with his 2023-24 Seahawks teammate, Desmond Brazeau, at Rivier this fall.

"I am very excited to announce my commitment to Rivier University," said Caparco. "I want to thank my family and all my coaches along the way that helped me. Especially I would like to thank Coach Zaniboni, Coach Richard, and Coach Ellerton. I’m very excited for the next four years."
