SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- Desmond Brazeau, a forward for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Rivier University for the fall of 2024.
An '03 from Timmins, Ontario, Canada, Brazeau played one game for the Seahawks in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), recording a goal and an assist, and then played 43 games for the Seahawks team in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), tallying four goals and four assists to his credit.
"We are very excited for Desmond and his family on his commitment to Rivier," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "Desmond is an extremely dedicated athlete who left Canada at the tier 2 level to come to the Eastern Hockey League to get more exposure, so it’s exciting to see this pay off for such a great, hard-working young man."
Brazeau expressed his gratitude for the support he received throughout his journey.
"I am super excited to be attending and playing for Rivier University for the next 4 years," said Brazeau. "I would like to thank Coach Zaniboni, Coach Richard, and Coach Ellerton for all they did this season. Coach Zaniboni was an integral part of helping me commit to Rivier, and he truly cares about his players. I can't wait to get started with Riv' this fall. Go Raiders!"
Brazeau will be joining his current teammate Mike Caparco, who also committed to join the Raiders back in early July.
