BOSTON, MA -- Declan Chapman, an '03 birth year from Douglas, MA, played out his age-out season of junior hockey in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and recently committed to Assumption University for the fall of 2024.
In 38 regular season games, Chapman tallied nine goals and eleven assists, getting hot in the winter, with a thirteen-point stretch in twelve games. However, it was the postseason where he really shined, earning a top line spot, and registering eight points in nine playoff games.
The reigning NE-10 Champion Greyhounds are stocked with former EHL players, and Chapman will be joined by three other EHL players from this year’s class.
When Chapman arrives on campus, he will team up with Gavin Dach from the Boston Jr Terriers, Brett Baldassare from the Seacoast Spartans, and Caden Connors from the Valley Jr. Warriors.
Close to his home and his family, Chapman is eager to get his college career started.
“Playing in the EHL helped me prepare for college hockey," said Chapman. "I learned that it’s not all about skill, but that how hard you work can carry you a long way.”
