FLEMINGTON, NJ -- Tyler Boudreau, a defenseman for the New Jersey Bears, has committed to Wilkes University for the fall of 2024.
An '03 from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Boudreau played 46 games during the 2023-24 season, recording eight goals and 16 assists to his credit.
"I'm so excited for Tyler, but Wilkes is also getting a great player and even better person," said New Jersey Bears head coach Jason Kilcoyne. "Tyler played a big role for our team this past season, and his shoes will be hard to replace this upcoming year."
Boudreau shared his excitement about the opportunity ahead.
"I'm extremely honored and excited to announce my commitment to Wilkes University to further my academic and athletic goals," said Boudreau. "I want to thank my parents for all the sacrifices and support they have given me over the years. I would also like to thank the New Jersey Bears players, coaching staff, and organization for their time and effort in helping me achieve my goals. I want to thank Coach Hynes for this tremendous opportunity, and I am excited to get started this fall!"
At Wilkes University this fall, Boudreau will join Jake Kloss from the Railers Jr. Hockey Club, and then next fall, he will team up with Ryan Dann from the New Hampshire Avalanche (committed for the fall of 2025).
In total, the three EHL players increased the league's total up to 14, in terms of have many commitments have been made to Wilkes since the league was formed back in 2013.
