Little Flyers Veteran Forward Set to Join Monarchs this Fall

ASTON, PA -- Cristo Walker, a forward for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, has committed to King's College for the fall of 2024.

An '03 from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Walker played two seasons with the Little Flyers, totaling 23 points in the 2022-23 season with nine goals and 14 assists over 30 games. In the 2023-24 season, he played in 46 games, adding six goals and 20 assists for 26 points.

"Congratulations to Cristo and his family on his NCAA commitment to King's College," said Little Flyers head coach Mark Catron. "Coaching Cristo over the past two seasons has been great for me; he came in a little late two years ago and was a big piece for us immediately, buying right into what we were doing. His game commanded attention from our opponents every shift due to his size and skill set. He created a lot of chaos for us in front of the net and in the corners while in the offensive zone, which we used to our advantage, especially down the stretch and in this year's playoff run. Cristo is a mature player that I see translating well to the NCAA game. With his commitment to King's, our staff and returning players know that we'll be able to catch one of his games when he comes back through IceWorks to play Neumann later in the season, which I really enjoy getting to see. We all wish him nothing but the best in the fall."

Walker shared his gratitude and excitement for the next chapter.

"I’m proud and honored to announce my commitment to King’s College to further my academic and athletic career," said Walker. "First, I would like to thank my family and friends for all their support throughout the years. I’d especially like to thank my parents for all their many sacrifices to allow me to pursue college hockey. Also, I’d like to thank the Little Flyers organization; specifically, Coach Catron and President Anthony Lorusso for everything they’ve done for me these past two years, helping me grow both as a hockey player, and more importantly, as a person. Also, I’d like to thank all of my teammates, advisors, and coaches throughout the years for pushing me and helping me work harder. Lastly, I’d like to thank Coach Seravalli for selecting me and giving me this amazing opportunity to attend King's College as a student-athlete."

King's College is an NCAA Division III program competing in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) and is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
