Top EHL All-Stars & EHLP Performers for Week #6

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Announce Stars of Week Six for October 22nd through 28th, including EHL Stars of the Week named from the All-Star College Series.

East Division

Alex Koenig - Express Hockey Club (G)

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Alex Koenig from the Express Hockey Club as the East Division Star of the Week. Koenig, an ’04 native of Manhattan Beach, CA was a core member of the Main All-Star team in last week’s College Series. Koenig had 10 saves in the game against SUNY Brockport and was the star in the history-making win over Elmira with 37 saves in a full game. Koenig is off to another great start with the Express as in seven appearances, he is 4-1 with a 2.29 GAA. The Express (6-1-0-2) will be back in action Wednesday hosting the Seahawks Hockey Club at 12 noon.

North Division

Jake Hines - New Hampshire Avalanche (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Jake Hines of the New Hampshire Avalanche as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’04 native of West Haven, CT had a great showing during the College Series for the Main All-Star team. Hines had both goals in a 3-2 loss to SUNY Brockport and had an assist in the big 3-1 win over Elmira. Hines has been a key part of the Avalanche’s success with 11 points in 10 games played. The Avalanche (8-1-0-1) will be back in action Tuesday hosting the Valley Jr. Warriors at 12:10 pm.

Central Division

Deaglan Kelly - Providence Capitals (F)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is forward Deaglan Kelly from the Providence Capitals. The ’04 native of Franklinville, NJ represented well for the Main All-Star team last week during the College Series. Kelly chipped in an assist in the game against Brockport and had a key power play goal in the 3-1 win against Elmira. This is Kelly’s third Star of the Week honors as he was also named in week two and three. Kelly has been vital to the Capitals offense this season with 21 points (8G, 13A) in 11 games played. The Capitals (7-3-1-0) will host the Boston Jr. Terriers (7-3-0-0) Wednesday at 11:30 am.

South Division

Cross Sherman - Philadelphia Hockey Club (G)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is Philadelphia Hockey Club goaltender Cross Sherman. Sherman, an ’04 native of Indianapolis, IN was key for the Mid-Atlantic All-Star team last week. Sherman registered 14 saves in a big 5-3 win over Post University and had 16 saves in a 5-1 loss to Johnson and Wales. In six appearances for PHC so far this season, Sherman is 2-4 with a 3.26 GAA in 350 minutes played. Philadelphia Hockey Club (4-5-1-0) will be back in action Wednesday when they take on the New Jersey Bears (11-0-0-2) at 12:00 noon.

North Division

Charles-Etienne Roy - New England Wolves (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Charles-Etienne Royfrom the New England Wolves as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’06 La Guadeloupe, QUE native had a monster week (5G, 2A) for the Wolves helping them go 3-0. This is Roy’s second Star of the Week honor as he was also named one in week three. Roy had two goals including the overtime winner in a 6-5 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors. He also had two assists in the big win. He followed that performance up with a hat trick in a 4-3 win against the Adirondack Jr. Thunder. Roy also chipped in one assist in his team’s 5-2 win over the Jr. Thunder. In 15 games, he has 26 points (13G, 13A). The undefeated Wolves (15-0-0-0) will look to keep it going Friday when they play the Valley Jr. Warriors at 1130am.

East Division

Jack Munini - Providence Capitals (G)

The EHLP East Division Star of the Week for week six is goaltender Jack Munini from the Providence Capitals. The ’05 Reading, MA native had stellar appearances in net helping his team win two big games. Munini shutout out the New Hampshire Avalanche 3-0 where he had 44 saves and assisted on his team’s third goal. His second start of the week was a 3-1 win over the Express Hockey Club where he allowed one goal and had 28 saves. In seven appearances with the Capitals so far this season, Munini is 4-2 with a 2.46 GAA. The Capitals (7-4-1-0) will be back in action Tuesday hosting the CT Nor’Easter at 12:00pm.

South Division

Jimmy Delaney - Union Jr Thunder (F)

The South Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Jimmy Delaney from the Union Jr. Thunder. The ’06 native of Westfield, NJ had a big game notching a hat trick in an 8-3 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Delaney is off to a good start for the Union Jr. Thunder with seven points (4G, 3A) in 11 games played so far. The Jr. Thunder will be back in action Saturday when they take on the New Jersey Bears at 4:45 pm.
