Top Forward, Defenseman, & Goaltender Honored

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are proud to honor the top performers for the months of September and October.

Forward of the Month

Owen House - New Jersey Bears

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Owen House of the New Jersey Bears as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Plymouth, MN has had an outstanding start to the season and is constantly making his presence known on the ice. In 13 games, House has put up 26 points (12G, 14A) and shows no signs of slowing down. He has four multi-goal games and has tallied at least one point in 11 of 13 games. House has helped his team get off to a great start as they currently stand at (11-1-0-2) and are in first place in the South Division.

Defenseman of the Month

Cyril Jebousek - Philadelphia Little Flyers

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Cyril Jebousek of the Philadelphia Little Flyers as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Praha, Czechia has been a key member of the blue line for the Little Flyers to start this season. In 10 games, Jebousek has 10 points including five goals and five assists. His best game was back in early October when he tallied two goals and an assist, including the overtime winner in a 4-3 win over the Seahawks. The Little Flyers are 4-5-0-1 and are currently on a three-game win streak.

Goaltender of the Month

Alex Gerard - New Hampshire Avalanche

The EHL is pleased to announce New Hampshire Avalanche goalie Alex Gerard as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Waterford, NY has had an impressive start to the 2024-25 season. In eight appearances with the Avalanche, Gerard has gone undefeated at 6-0. He has allowed 10 goals on 164 shots and has an outstanding 1.44 GAA in 418 minutes played. One of his best performances was a 4-0 shutout over the Philadelphia Hockey Club where he tallied 18 saves. Gerard has played a key role in the Avalanche’s early success as they are 10-1-0-1 and in first place in the North Division.

Forward of the Month

Zach Spicuzza - New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Zach Spicuzza from the New England Wolves as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’05 native from Meredith, NH has had an outstanding start to the season for the Wolves. In 15 games played, Spicuzza has tallied an impressive 32 points (13G, 19A) for the undefeated Wolves. He has multi-point games in 10 of 15 games so far and is key up front for the Wolves. Spicuzza was also named Star of the Week back in week three and continues to dominate. The Wolves (15-0-0-0) currently hold first place in the North Division.

Defenseman of the Month

Jackson Hanson - New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Jackson Hanson of the New England Wolves as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’06 native of Chino Hills, CA has been a key member of the blue line for the red-hot Wolves and shows no signs of slowing down. In 15 games, Hanson has tallied 16 points (4G, 12A). Hanson has four multi-point games as a defenseman and is a big reason the Wolves have started 15-0-0-0.  

Goaltender of the Month

Patrick McGillicuddy - New Jersey 87's

The EHLP is pleased to announce goalie Patrick McGillicuddy of the New Jersey 87’s as a September/October Star of the Month. The ’06 native of East Longmeadow, MA is off to an outstanding start for the 87’s. In seven starts, McGillicuddy has gone an impressive 7-0 with a 1.30 GAA. He has allowed just nine total goals in 415 minutes of play. McGillicuddy already has recorded four shutouts in his first seven starts and is an integral part of the 87’s success. The 87’s are 9-2-0-0 through their first 11 games and currently hold first place in the South Division.
