Top EHL & EHLP Performers for Week #8

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Announce Stars of Week Eight for November 5th through November 11th.

Eastern Hockey League

North Division

Jake Davies - Valley Jr Warriors (G)

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Jake Davies of the Valley Jr. Warriors as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’04 native of Arlington, MA had two terrific starts in goal this week helping his team win both. Davies first start was a 4-1 win over the Bridgewater Bandits where he allowed one goal and had 29 saves. He followed that performance up with a 2-1 victory against the Boston Dukes, where he allowed one goal on 26 shots. Davies has been key for the Jr. Warriors all season. In six appearances so far, Davies is 4-1 with a 1.93 GAA in 311 minutes played. The Jr. Warriors (5-8-2-0) next play Wednesday against the Connecticut RoughRiders at the Rhode Island Sports Center.

East Division

Daxton St. Hillaire - East Coast Wizards (F)

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Daxton St. Hillaire from the East Coast Wizards as the East Division Star of the Week. St. Hillaire, an ’04 native of Lewiston, ME had another solid game for the Wizards this week having a hand in four of the five goals with hat trick and an assist in a 5-1 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors. St. Hillaire continues to be solid on the forward line for the Wizards with 24 points (8G, 16A) in 16 games. The East Coast Wizards (12-3-1-0) continue to dominate and next up host the Seahawks Hockey Club Thursday at 12 noon.

Central Division

Cooper Hall - HC Rhode Island (F)

The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is forward Cooper Hall from HC Rhode Island. The ’06 native of Newton, MA had a key week tallying two goals and four assists in three games played. Hall had the lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Bridgewater Bandits and the next day had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the Vermont Lumberjacks. Hall continued his productive week notching two assists in a 5-2 win against the New York Apple Core. In 17 games played, Hall has 15 points (6G, 9A) and has been key on the forward line. HC Rhode Island (9-7-1-0) will be back in action Wednesday taking on the CT Nor’Easter at 11:30am.

South Division

Landon Adams - New Jersey 87's (F)

The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is New Jersey 87’s forward Landon Adams. Adams, an ’04 native of St. Paul, MN had three solid games for his team this past week tallying three goals and three assists in his first action of the season. In a big 5-4 win over the New Jersey Bears, Adams had two goals and two assists. The following day, the 87’s picked up a 5-0 shutout win over the Bears where Adams had a goal and two assists. The 87’s (8-7-0-0) next up will host Philadelphia Hockey Club (7-6-1-0) Friday at 12:30pm.

North Division

Charles-Etienne Roy - New England Wolves (F)

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Charles-Etienne Roy from the New England Wolves as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’06 La Guadeloupe, QUE native had another big week for the Wolves tallying four goals and three assists in two more wins for the Wolves. Roy notched a hat trick in a 4-1 win over the New Hampshire Avalanche and the following day had a goal and three assists in a 6-5 overtime win against the Avalanche. This is Roy’s fourth Star of the Week honor and third consecutive as he was also named one in week three, six and seven. In 18 games, he has 37 points (19G, 18A). The undefeated Wolves (18-0-0-0) will be back in action Friday when they play CT Nor’Easter AAA Academy (4-3-0-3) at 12 noon.

East Division

James Caeran - Providence Capitals (F)

The EHLP East Division Star of the Week for week eight is forward Providence Capitals from the Providence Capitals. The ’06 Marblehead native had a big week for his team with three goals and four assists in three games played. Caeran had a short-handed goal in a 4-3 shootout win over the Bridgewater Bandits, two goals and two assists in a big 10-6 win against the Express Hockey Club and closed out the week with two assists in a 5-1 win over the Express. In 14 games played so far, Caeran has 17 points (9G, 8A) for the Capitals. The Capitals (11-4-1-0) are off until Sunday when they take on CT Nor’Easter at 3:30pm.

South Division

Nathan Kelly - Union Jr Thunder (G)

The South Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is goaltender Nathan Kelly from the Union Jr. Thunder. The ’06 native of Dexter, MI had a big win in net shutting out the New Jersey Bears 4-0 in a great performance. Kelly had 17 saves in the game earning his second win of the season. In six appearances so far, Kelly is 2-3 with a 2.14 GAA in 280 minutes. The Union Jr. Thunder (5-8-0-1) will host the New Jersey 87’s (13-2-0-0) Friday night at 5:05pm.
