Alumni Named Award Winners in NE-10 and SUNYAC

BOSTON, MA -- The impact of Eastern Hockey League (EHL) alumni was evident across Division III college hockey once again this past week, with former players earning key weekly honors in the Northeast-10 (NE10), State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association (WIAC). Here’s a look at the standout performances that led to these recognitions:

Northeast-10 (NE-10)

Rookie & Goaltender of the Week: Evan Plunkett (Seacoast Spartans)
Saint Michael's College | Goaltender | Charlotte, NC

A former goaltender for the Seacoast Spartans in the 2023-24 season, Evan Plunkett has quickly established himself as a key player at Saint Michael's College. The freshman from Charlotte, N.C., was awarded both the NE10 Goaltender of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors after a stellar performance against Post University. Plunkett made 30 saves in a 3-2 overtime victory, stopping all seven shots in the extra session and keeping the Eagles scoreless on four power plays.

State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC)

Rookie of the Week: Nolan Zotter (Team Maryland)
SUNY Canton | Forward | West Grove, PA

Nolan Zotter, who played for Team Maryland in the EHL during the 2023-24 season, has made an immediate impact at SUNY Canton. The freshman forward from Framingham, MA., was named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week after a standout weekend performance, scoring three goals in two games against Framingham State. Zotter scored twice in a 4-1 win on Friday, including the game-winning goal, and added an insurance goal in a 4-2 victory the following night. With a +3 on-ice rating for the weekend, Zotter’s contributions were key to SUNY Canton’s series sweep.

Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)

Athlete of the Week Nominee: Jack Boschert (Express Hockey Club)
Wisconsin-Superior | Goaltender | Florissant, MO

Former Express Hockey Club goaltender Jack Boschert, now a sophomore at UW-Superior, earned a nomination for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association (WIAC) Athlete of the Week. Boschert, who played two seasons with the Express from 2021-22 to 2022-23, showcased his skills with a .963 save percentage and 26 saves in a victory over Gustavus Adolphus.
