Top Forward, Defenseman, & Goaltender Honored

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are proud to honor the top performers for the month of November.

Eastern Hockey League

Forward of the Month

Daxton St. Hillaire - East Coast Wizards

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Daxton St. Hillaire of the East Coast Wizards as a November Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Lewiston, ME had an outstanding month for the Wizards tallying an impressive 13 goals and eight assists in seven games played. St. Hillaire had two three-goal performances and one four-goal game as he continues to make his presence known on the ice. In 19 games overall for the Wizards this season St. Hillaire has 36 points (16G, 20A). The 15-3-1-0 Wizards, who hold first place in the East Division, will return to play on Wednesday when they take on the Seahawks Hockey Club at 12-noon.

Defenseman of the Month

Ruslan Weaver - HC Rhode Island

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Ruslan Weaver of HC Rhode Island as a November Star of the Month. The ’05 native of Tampa, FL has been a key member of the blue line all season for HC Rhode Island. In the month of November, Weaver had eight points (1G, 7A) in nine games played. Weaver contributed at least one point in six of the nine games. In 22 games this season, Weaver has 10 points (1G, 9A). HC Rhode Island (13-7-1-1) currently stands in first place in the Central Division and will next play on Wednesday, December 11th against the Connecticut Nor’Easter.

Goaltender of the Month

Florentin Fally-Puskás - New Jersey 87's

The EHL is pleased to announce New Jersey 87’s goalie Florentin Fally-Puskás as a November Star of the Month. The ’05 native of Vienna, Austria had an undefeated month going 5-0-0 in five starts. After a tough 0-4-0 to start the season, Fally-Puskás has been unstoppable during the last month. His two best starts where two shutouts against the New Jersey Bears and the Philadelphia Hockey Club. In 11 starts this season, Fally-Puskás is 7-4-0 with a 2.30 GAA in 625 minutes played. The 87’s at 12-7-0-0, are in second place in the South Division behind the Bears, but are currently riding a four-game winning streak. They will return to action Wednesday when they take on the Philadelphia Little Flyers at 12-noon.

Forward of the Month

Charles-Etienne Roy - New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Charles-Etienne Roy from the New England Wolves as a November Star of the Month. The ’06 native from La Guadeloupe, Quebec, Canada has been a driving offensive force for the Wolves all season and that was no different in the month of November.  In November, Roy had nine goals and eight assists in six games to keep his dominate season going. He contributed at least one point in all six games and had multiple points in five of them. Roy has been named Star of the Week four times this season, and in 21 games, he has 42 points (22G, 20A). The undefeated Wolves (21-0-0-0) currently hold first place in the North Division and will be back in action on Saturday taking on the Adirondack Jr. Thunder at 1:00 pm.

Defenseman of the Month

Elliott Hernandez - Union Jr Thunder

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Elliott Hernandez of the Union Jr. Thunder as a November Star of the Month. The ’07 native of Tampa, FL had an impressive month tallying three goals and six assists in four games played. Hernandez had multi-point games in three of four contests. Hernandez had just one point coming into the month, and he turned on the heat as he was also named Star of the Week during week nine. The Jr. Thunder (8-8-0-1) have won four straight and are in third place in the South Division. They will look to keep it going on Saturday when they take on the New Jersey Renegades at 7:45pm.

Goaltender of the Month

Drareg Galang - CT Nor'Easter AAA Academy

The EHLP is pleased to announce goalie Drareg Galang of the Nor’Easter AAA Academy as a November Star of the Month. The ’06 native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada went 4-0-0 this month while allowing eight goals total. His best start came in a 3-1 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors where he allowed one goal and had 37 saves. In six starts so far, Galang is 5-1-0 with a 2.13 GAA in 310 minutes played. The Nor’Easter (7-5-0-3) are in third place in the East Division and will host the Vermont Lumberjacks (6-10-1-0) on Thursday at 11:30 am.
