Hooksett, NH -- Owen Guerin, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Western New England (WNE) for the fall of 2025.
An '04 from Guilford, NH, Guerin has progressed through the Avalanche program over the past two seasons. However, his junior hockey career started out at the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) level with the New England Wolves, hit the ice for 29 total games combined between the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. In total, Guerin notched 19 points in the EHLP, scoring seven goals to go along with 12 assists.
Following the pair of seasons in the EHLP, Guerin climbed up the ladder to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and joined the Avalanche in 2023-24, contributing six goals and seven assists in 25 games. This season (2024-25), Guerin has continued develping at the EHL level, already recording five goals and nine assists through 19 games.
“Owen has really done a great job,” said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. “He went from NH High School Hockey, to the EHL, and now off to NCAA hockey. I am very proud of Owen and how much he has accomplished with us over the last two seasons. He will be a great addition to the WNE community.”
At Western New England, Guerin will join current Avalanche teammates Jake Hines and Filip Kuba, as well as J.J. Alger from the East Coast Wizards, continuing the strong EHL connection at the program.
