HYANNIS, MA -- Thomas Plamondon, a defenseman for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to St. John Fisher University for the fall of 2025.
An '04 from Montréal, Québec, Canada, Plamondon has been a key contributor for the Seahawks over the past two seasons. In the 2023-24 season, he played 44 games with six goals and three assists. Continuing with the Seahawks this season, Plamondon has appeared in 22 games, contributing three goals and 12 assists.
"Thomas has developed into a top defensive player in the league,” said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. “His accountability to himself and teammates has been seen through his dedication and commitment. He always has a smile on his face, and always comes to work, and that energy is contagious for guys around him. He is going to be a strong student-athlete at St. John Fisher, and they will be as proud to have him, as we are proud to have him as part of the Seahawks family.”
St. John Fisher University's men’s hockey program is new and will begin play in the 2025-26 season. The team, led by head coach Reid Lesswing, will compete in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) at the NCAA Division III level.
"I am very excited to continue my academic and athletic career at St. John Fisher University,” said Plamondon. “I want to thank my family for all the support and sacrifices made over the years to help me get to this point. I also want to thank Coach Zaniboni and Coach Richard for everything they have done for me during my time with the Seahawks Hockey Club. I am thrilled to be a Cardinal and excited for the next four years.”
