SEWELL, NJ -- Nick Vinson, a forward for the Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has committed to University of Southern Maine (USM) for the fall of 2025.
An '04 from Brewer, ME, Vinson has played 21 games this season, recording 17 goals and nine assists for a total of 26 points.
"We could not be happier for Nick and his family," said PHC head coach and general manager Adam Bartholomay. "Nick has earned every bit of this, and we are very happy to have worked with Coach Pinchevsky. Nick has worked day in and day out to achieve his goals, and one of those has been met with his commitment. We look forward to watching Nick grow as a Husky and the success of the school with his addition."
The University of Southern Maine's men’s hockey program competes at the NCAA Division III level in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC). Vinson will join a program led by head coach Matt Pinchevsky.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point in my career,” said Vinson. “It takes a lot of hard work, and I am grateful for all the time and support that has been given to me. I would like to thank Coach Pinchevsky and the University of Southern Maine for this opportunity. Super excited to get to work. Go Huskies!"
Southern Maine's staff also expressed their excitement for adding Vinson to their roster.
"Nick's a player we've had our eye on for quite some time, and step by step, he just keeps getting better,” said USM head coach Matt Pinchevsky. “His ability and character will all continue to develop within our program. We are very happy for Nick and his family and look forward to rooting him on the rest of the way with PHC. We appreciate all the guidance Coach Bartholomay provided in the process of Nick becoming a Husky."
