Ben Carfora - New Hampshire Avalanche
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Ben Carfora of the New Hampshire Avalanche as a Northeast Showcase Star as he helped lead his team to a 2-1-0 record at the December Showcase. The ’05 native of West Haven, CT had a great showing in his team’s three games tallying two goals and two assists. Carfora had an assist in a 3-2 win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen, a goal in a 3-2 shootout loss to the New Jersey 87’s, and a goal and an assist in 3-2 win against the Connecticut Nor’Easter. Carfora has 22 points (5G, 17A) in 23 games played. The Avalanche at 21-2-0-3 will return to play January 9th when they host the Valley Jr. Warriors at 12-noon.
Ville Bodin - Express Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Ville Bodin of the Express Hockey Club as a Northeast Showcase Star. The ’05 native of Gothenburg, Sweden had a solid week for the Express putting up four total points (2G, 2A). Bodin had both goals for the Express in a 2-0 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors. The following day, he assisted on two of the three goals in a 3-1 win over the Huntsmen. In 23 games for the Express this season, Bodin has 28 points (14G, 14A) and has been a vital part of the offense. The Express (20-1-0-2) will return from break on January 8th where they will host the Boston Dukes at 12-noon.
Jacob Gelman - Seahawks Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Jacob Gelman of the Seahawks Hockey Club as a Northeast Showcase Star. The ’05 Davie, FL native had two goals and two assists as his team had a 1-2-0 showing in the December Showcase. Gelman had a hand in three of the Seahawks four goals (1G, 2A) in a 4-0 shutout win over the Connecticut RoughRiders. He also scored the team’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Philadelphia Hockey Club. Gelman has 18 points (5G, 13A) in 23 games played so far. The Seahawks (7-16-1-1) return to action on January 7th when they take on the East Coast Wizards at 12-noon.
Marek Herda - New England Wolves
The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Marek Herda of the New England Wolves as a Northeast Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Tabor, Czechia played a key role in his team’s showcase week helping the Wolves go 3-0-0 overall. Herda had an assist in a 3-2 win over the Nor’Easter and then scored two goals and an assist in a 4-0 shutout win against the Bridgewater Bandits. Herda has been a key piece of the defense all season and has 16 points (6G, 10A) in 25 games. The Wolves (19-6-0-0) will be back in action on Friday, January 10th when they take on the Dukes at 11:30am.
Owen McGillivray - Boston Dukes
The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Owen McGillivray of the Boston Dukes as a Northeast Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Jakarta, Indonesia had two assists in two of his team’s games in the December Showcase. McGillivray assisted on the first goal in a big 3-2 win over the New Jersey Bears and also had an assist on the lone goal in a 7-1 loss to the Providence Capitals. The Dukes came into the showcase with only five wins on the season, but took two out of three in a solid showing.
Cam Wickens - Vermont Lumberjacks
The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Cam Wickens from the Vermont Lumberjacks as a Northeast Showcase Star. The ’04 Revere, MA native posted three big wins in goal in the December Showcase over the week. Wickens started the week off with a 2-0 shutout win over the RoughRiders. He played the whole 50 minutes and had 29 saves. The following day he made 38 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the 87’s. Wickens closed out his exceptional showcase week with a 27-save performance in a 2-1 overtime win over the Bandits. Koenig has posted a 2.84 GAA in 22 appearances this season. The Lumberjacks (13-12-1-1) will be back in action on Sunday, January 12th when they take on the Avalanche at 4:40 pm.
Nick Vinson - Philadelphia Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Nick Vinson of the Philadelphia Hockey Club as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. Vinson, the ’04 native of Northeast Picataquis, ME had five goals and two assists in three games during the December Showcase. Vinson had a hand in all four goals (2G, 2A) in a 4-1 win over the Warriors. He scored a goal in a 2-0 shutout win over H.C. Rhode Island and ended his impressive showcase win with two goals in a 3-1 win over the Seahawks. In 25 games so far this season, Vinson has 33 points (22G, 11A) and continues to be a force for PHC. Philadelphia Hockey Club (14-10-1-0) will host the Huntsmen when they return to play on January 4th at 7:30 pm.
Alexander Legkov - New Jersey 87's
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Alexander Legkov of the New Jersey 87’s as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Moskva, Russia had an impressive showing during the December Showcase. Legkov tallied five total points (3G, 2A) in his team’s three games. Legkov notched a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Lumberjacks. He also tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-2 shootout win over the Avalanche. Legkov finished off the showcase with a goal in a 3-0 shutout over the Boston Jr. Eagles. Legkov has an astounding 42 points (17G, 25A) in 18 games played. The 87’s (18-7-1-0) return to action on January 8th taking on the Bears.
Dominic Mascieri - Philadelphia Little Flyers
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Dominic Mascieri of the Philadelphia Little Flyers as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Berwyn, PA had a goal and four assists in three games played during the December Showcase. Mascieri scored a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over the Eagles and then assisted on three of four goals in a 4-2 win over the Nor’Easter. In 18 games this season, Mascieri has 18 points (6G, 12A). The Little Flyers (9-11-1-2) will next play January 6th against the New York Apple Core.
Ryan Sikorski - Connecticut Nor'Easter
The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Ryan Sikorski of the Connecticut Nor’Easter as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’05 native from Long Island, NY had two goals and two assists in three games in the December Showcase. Sikorski chipped in an assist in a 3-2 loss to the Wolves and had the Nor’Easter’s two goals in a 4-2 loss to the Little Flyers. Sikorski has 15 points (5G, 10A) in 28 games played. The Nor’Easter (10-17-1-0) will host Rhode Island on Tuesday, January 7th at 12-noon.
Matt Donegan - Philadelphia Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Matt Donegan of the Philadelphia Hockey Club as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Medford, NJ was key in his team’s 3-0-0 showcase week. Donegan assisted on the first goal of a 2-0 win over Rhode Island and had two assists in a 3-1 win over the Seahawks. Donegan has been a staple blue liner for PHC all season and has 12 points in 21 games played. Philadelphia Hockey Club (14-10-1-0) will host the Huntsmen when they return to play on January 4th at 7:30 pm.
Florentin Fally-Puskás - New Jersey 87's
The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Florentin Fally-Puskás of the New Jersey 87’s as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. Fally-Puskás, an ’05 from Vienna, Austria had two wins in two solid outings for the 87’s. In his first outing, he allowed two goals and had 23 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Little Flyers. He followed that up with a 33-save performance in a 3-2 overtime win over the Avalanche. In 14 appearances so far this season Fally-Puskás is 10-4-0 with a 2.17 GAA.
