Alexander Legkov - New Jersey 87's
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Alexander Legkov of the New Jersey 87’s as a December Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Moskva, Russia had an outstanding month for the 87’s tallying an impressive eight goals and eight assists in seven games played. Legkov had at least one goal in all seven games and continues to be a threat on the ice. His best performance was a six-point game in an 8-4 win over the New Jersey Bears. In 18 games overall for the 87’s this season Legkov has 42 points (17G, 25A). The 18-7-1-0 87’s will return to action on January 8 taking on the Bears at 12 noon.
Thomas Plamondon - Seahawks Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Thomas Plamondon of the Seahawks Hockey Club as a December Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Montreal, QUE has been a key member of the blue line all season for the Seahawks and is committed to St. John Fisher University next season. In the month of December, Plamondon had seven points (4G, 3A) in seven games played. Weaver contributed at least one point in six of the seven games. In 25 games this season, Plamondon has 18 points (5G, 13A). The Seahawks (7-16-1-1) will be back in action on Tuesday January 7 taking on the East Coast Wizards.
Alex Koenig - Express Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce Express Hockey Club goalie Alex Koenig as a December Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Manhattan Beach, CA had an undefeated month going 5-0 in five starts. Three of the five wins were shutouts and he allowed just two goals in impressive fashion. Koenig has been a huge part of the Express’s success as in 16 appearances, he has gone 13-1 with an astounding 1.32 GAA in 865 minutes played. The 20-1-0-2 Express will return from holiday break on January 9 where they will host the Bridgewater Bandits at 12 noon.
Bradley Parker - Adirondack Jr Thunder
The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Bradley Parker from the Adirondack Jr. Thunder as a December Star of the Month. The ’04 native from Toronto, ONT has been a driving offensive force for the Adirondack all season. In December, Parker had six goals and three assists in four games. His most impressive appearance was a six-point game (4G, 2A) in a 9-3 win over the New England Wolves. In 17 games this season, Parker has 35 points (17G, 18A) and shows no signs of slowing down. The Jr. Thunder (10-12-0-1) return to action Saturday hosting the Vermont Lumberjacks at 3:00pm.
Tyler Willson - New Jersey Bears
The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Tyler Willson of the New Jersey Bears as a December Star of the Month. The ’04 native of Rome, NY had an impressive month tallying four goals and three assists in six games played. Willson tallied at least one point in all six games and has been a key blue-liner all season. In 21 games, Willson has 15 points (7G, 8A). The Bears (10-7-3-1) return to action Saturday hosting the Union Jr. Thunder at 4:45 pm.
Christopher Hanifan - Valley Jr Warriors
The EHLP is pleased to announce goalie Chris Hanifan of the Valley Jr. Warriors as a December Star of the Month. The ’06 native of Reading, MA went 3-0 this month while allowing five goals total. His best start came in a 4-1 win over the Seahawks where he allowed one goal and had 35 saves. In 12 starts so far, Hanifan has been no short of great with a 10-2 record and a 2.10 GAA in 628 minutes played. Hanifan has been a key part of the Jr. Warrior’s success and they hope to keep it going when they return to action on January 9.
