Hartford, CT – Gavin Brandon, a forward for the Connecticut Nor’Easter (CTN), has committed to St. John Fisher University for the fall of 2025.
An ’04 forward from Canton, Connecticut, Brandon has played 26 games this season, recording 13 goals and 12 assists for a total of 25 points.
"This is a fantastic achievement and a direct result of Gavin's hard work, commitment, and growth both on and off the ice," said Nor’Easter head coach and general manager Greg Heffernan. "Over the course of his time with us, he has shown incredible dedication, leadership, and the kind of character that will make him a valuable asset to this new program. Gavin has had a full junior hockey career, and I am very happy that he entrusted myself and our organization, knowing we could move him onto the college level."
St. John Fisher University, located in Rochester, New York, will compete at the NCAA Division III level and Brandon will be joining the new program led by head coach Reid Lesswing.
"Thank you, Coach Lesswing, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of building your new program," said Brandon. "I am extremely optimistic for our future. A huge thank you to the Nor’Easter program, teammates, and Coach Heffernan, who have been instrumental in my development and growth. Lastly, I would like to thank my family for supporting me through this process."
