Avalanche Defenseman to Join Spartans for 2026-27 Season

Hooksett, NH – Ethan Audy, a defenseman for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Castleton University for the fall of 2026.

An ’05 from Fairfax, VT, Audy has played 25 games this season, recording one goal and eight assists for a total of nine points.

"Audy has done a great job for us over the last two seasons," said Avalanche head coach Chris Cerrella. "He played some games in the EHLP last year and believed in the process without skipping any steps. He has continued to improve and has been very impressive to watch this season. He is from Vermont, and Castleton was where he wanted to be, and he could not be more excited for this opportunity. We are excited for him and thrilled he will be developing with us for one more season before heading to Castleton for the 2026 season. We are very proud of Ethan and look forward to watching him continue his athletic and academic career."

Castleton University, located in Castleton, Vermont, competes at the NCAA Division III level. Audy will be joining the Spartans, led by head coach Kyle Richards.

"I would like to thank my family for the countless amount of time and support they have given me throughout the years," said Audy. "I would like to thank my youth and high school coaches for their dedication and guidance as well. I also want to thank the Avalanche organization and the coaching staff. Becoming part of the Avalanche program has been a great decision for me, and they have helped me get to the next level and achieve my goal of playing NCAA hockey at Castleton. I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue my education and to be a part of the Castleton culture both on the ice and in the classroom."
