Player of the Week: Drew Olivieri, University of New England (UNE)
A former member of the Seacoast Spartans and Railers Jr. Hockey Club while playing in the EHL, Olivieri helped lead UNE to the title at this past weekend's Comfort Inn Winter Classic in New York. Olivieri was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after tallying five total points in Nor'Easters victories over Wilkes and Plattsburgh. Overall, the Sophomore at UNE has tallied 19 points to his credit this year on six goals and 13 assists.
Rookie of the Week: George Kolovos, Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT)
A former member of the East Coast Wizards, WIT participated in the same tournament as UNE this past weekend, and Kolovos put on a tremendous performance. The former EHL All-Star factored into each of the Leopards' three goals in a 3-2 overtime win over the Colonels of Wilkes, scoring two goals including the overtime winner. His overtime winner was his second of the season to date.
Goalie of the Week: Graham Burke, UMass Dartmouth
The former member of the Philadelphia Little Flyers, Burke backstopped the Corsairs to a 2-0-0 week in MASCAC action with a 1.50 GAA, .959 save percentage and recording 70 saves. He surrendered just one goal, making 31 saves as UMD defeated Worcester State by the score of 4-1 at home on Thursday. Burke then posted 39 saves, including 22 in the second period alone, giving up just two goals, as the Corsairs defeated Anna Maria by the mark of 3-2 on the road on Saturday, to move into a tie for second place in the conference.
Goalie of the Week: Callum Welch, Assumption University
A former netminder for H.C. Rhode Island, Welch sported a 1.55 goals against average and a 0.954 save percentage, and recorded 63 saves in a 1-1-0 week. On Friday night, he mad 28 saves en route to a 4-1 win against Saint Michael's. On Saturday, Welch recorded 35 stops in a 2-0 loss to the Purple Knights.
Rookie of the Week: Evan Plunkett, Saint Michael's College
The former Spartan, Plunkett has been named NE-10 Rookie of the Week for the 4th time this season. Plunkett recorded a 1.52 GAA, .958 save percentage and 34.0 saves per game during a 1-1-0 week. In a 4-1 loss to Saint Anselm on Tuesday, he allowed two even-strength goals while making 28 saves. before recording 40 stops in a 2-0 shutout of first-place Assumption on Saturday. It was the Greyhounds' first shutout loss in nearly two years.
Rookie of the Week: Kaleb Miller, SUNY Brockport
The former top scorer for the Boston Jr. Rangers, Miller played the hero in Brockport's overtime win over SUNY Fredonia on Friday evening, burying the game-winner 3:22 into the extra session off a feed from Victor Malzahn (also a former Ranger in the EHL) for the 4-3 win. On Saturday, Miller added an assist in an overtime defeat at Elmira.
Honor Roll: Zach Lindenwirth, Skidmore College
Lindenwirth, the former New Jersey 87, had four points on three goals and an assist over the weekend as the Thoroughbreds played two tight games against top-ranked and undefeated Hobart. He scored twice, both on the power play, on Friday before going for a goal and an assist Saturday. Lindewirth played a part in four out of the six Skidmore goals.
