Perry Collatos - Vermont Lumberjacks (F)
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Perry Collatos of the Vermont Lumberjacks as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’04 native of Chino Valley, AZ had two goals and three assists in two tough losses this week. Collatos had a goal and two assists in a 6-5 shootout loss to the New England Wolves. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Wolves. In 28 games played for the Lumberjacks this season, Collatos has 13 points (5G, 8A). The Lumberjacks (15-15-1-2) will be back in action Saturday taking on the New Hampshire Avalanche at 4:10 pm.

Danny Kehoe - Seahawks Hockey Club (F)
The EHL is pleased to announce forward Danny Kehoe from the Seahawks Hockey Club as the East Division Star of the Week. Kehoe, an ’05 native of Palm Beach, FL had a solid week producing three goals and three assists in two games. Kehoe had the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over the Bridgewater Bandits. A few days later in a 7-1 win over the Bandits, Kehoe had two goals and two assists in the win. He has been key for the Seahawks all season and in 28 games has 27 points (10G, 17A). The Seahawks (11-17-2-1) are off until next Monday when they play the Bandits at 12 noon.

Hwanhee Kang - HC Rhode Island (F)
The Central Division Star of the Week for the EHL is forward Hwanhee Kang from HC Rhode Island. The ’05 native of Cheongju, South Korea put up a goal and three assists in one win and one loss. Kang had a goal and two assists in a 7-4 win over the Boston Jr. Eagles. Kang also assisted on HC Rhode Island’s lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Connecticut Nor’Easter. Kang has played in just three games since recently joining the team and is making his presence known early on with five points. HC Rhode Island (17-11-4-1) will be back in action Thursday taking on the Express Hockey Club at 12 noon.

David Cook - Pennsylvania Huntsmen (F)
The South Division Star of the Week in the EHL is Pennsylvania Huntsmen forward David Cook. Cook, an ’05 native of Harrisburg, PA had two big games this week for his team tallying three goals and three assists. Cook had a four-point game (2G, 2A) in an 8-3 win over Philadelphia Hockey Club. Later in the week Cook contributed a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over PHC. Cook has been a key offensive contributor all season as he has 37 points (16G, 21A) in 29 games. The Huntsmen (14-14-3-0) will host the New Jersey Bears Wednesday at 11:30am.

Jackson Hanson - New England Wolves (D)
The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Jackson Hanson from the New England Wolves as the North Division Star of the Week. The ’06 Chino Hills, CA native had one goal and seven assists scattered over five games played this week. Hanson had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 win over the Vermont Lumberjacks, single assists in wins over the Lumberjacks and the Avalanche. Hanson finished off the week with three assists in an 8-4 win over the Lumberjacks. Hansen has been a staple blue-liner for the Wolves all season and in 31 games played has 29 points (5G, 24A). The Wolves (28-3-0-0) will next host the Valley Jr. Warriors Thursday at 1:45 pm.

Ben Ashton - Express Hockey Club (G)
The EHLP East Division Star of the Week for week 17 is goaltender Ben Ashton from the Express Hockey Club. The ’05 New London, NH native had an outstanding outing in net in his team’s big 2-1 overtime win over the Valley Jr. Warriors. Ashton allowed just one goal and stopped 48 in net for the Express. In 12 appearances for the Express this season, Ashton is 6-3 with a 2.44 GAA in 689 minutes played. The Express (13-11-1-2) next up will host the Bridgewater Bandits Sunday night at 7:15 pm.Honorable Mention
Christopher Erasmus - New Jersey 87's
The South Division Star of the Week for the EHLP is forward Chris Erasmus from the New Jersey 87’s. The ’05 native of Unionville, CT had a monster five-point game contributing four goals and an assist in a big 12-1 win over the New Jersey Bears. Erasmus also tallied an assist in a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Renegades. In 24 games played, Erasmus has 30 points (15G, 15A) and this is his second Star of the Week honor this season. The 87’s (26-4-0-0) next up play the Renegades Saturday night at 7:45pm.
