Player of the Week: Matt Pimental, Suffolk University
The former EHL All-Star helped the Rams sweep their home-and-home series with Western New England. Pimental opened the series with the Golden Bears with a career-best three-point effort on one goal, his first of the season, and two assists, also a personal-high. Two days later, he found the back of the net twice, also a career-high. One of his goals in West Springfield, MA, was the eventual game-winner in the 5-1 decision over WNE.
Player of the Week: Cade Herrera, MCLA
Herrera scored four goals, including a hat-trick and game-winner along with two assists in a 1-1 week for the Trailblazers. Herrera tallied the game-winning goal and added two assists in a 4-0 win at Rivier and registered a hat-trick in the setback against Anna Maria.
Goalie of the Week: John Werber, SUNY Potsdam
Werber has been named the Goalie of the Week in the SUNYAC for the 2nd consecutive week. Werber helped the Bears to a 2-0 weekend with a 1.50 goals-against-average and a .959 save percentage. On Friday, he stopped 46 shots as the Bears upset No. 14 Cortland on the road. On Saturday, Werber just missed a shutout by two minutes, turning aside 25 saves in a 5-1 win. His play has helped catapult the Bears into fourth place in the conference standings.
Rookie of the Week: Nolan Zotter, SUNY Canton
Also for the 2nd time this season, Zotter has been named the Rookie of the Week in the SUNYAC. Zotter registered a goal and assist in an unbeaten 2-0 conference weekend for the Roos. He opened the weekend by scoring the game-winner at 11:31 of the 3rd period in a 4-3 road win at Buffalo State on Friday. On Saturday, the rookie assisted Canton's first goal in the third period of a 2-1 OT win at Fredonia.
Goalie of the Week: William Billequey, Manhattanville College
Two times two! Billequey has now been named the Goalie of the Week in the UCHC for the 4th time this season. Billequey picked up his fifth win of the year in a 3-2 victory Friday night at Nazareth, stopping 49 of 51 shots against the Golden Flyers. Billequey made 12 first period saves, 20 in the second period, and 17 more in the final frame. He stopped the first 34 shots he faced as Manhattanville jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
