North Smithfield, RI – Alex Pagliari, a defenseman for the Providence Capitals (PRC), has committed to UMass Dartmouth for the 2024-2025 season.
An 04’ out of Greenville, NC, Pagliari’s first and only campaign in the EHL featured an All-Star appearance earlier this year with the Mid-Atlantic team. He currently leads the Providence blueline in points and assists, with two goals and sixteen helpers. With seven points in his last eight games, he has played some of his best hockey as of late.
“Congrats to Alex for getting the opportunity to play at UMass Dartmouth next year,” said Providence head coach Jeff Perreault. “It’s been an honor coaching this young gentleman this past season. He brings a lot of confidence with his steady game on the backend. Alex is an amazing young man who comes from a great family. His actions both on and off the ice will offer him tremendous success. We wish him good luck next season.”
UMass Dartmouth competes in the Little East Conference under Head Coach Erik Noack. Their roster features double digit EHL alumni.
“I am excited about the chance to improve my academic and athletic career at UMass Dartmouth,” Pagliari said. “I want to thank all my coaches for their help and support over the years. A special thanks to the Providence Capitals organization, especially coaches JP, Benny, Fusco, and Matt; your belief in me has pushed me to do my best in hockey and in life. To my parents, I appreciate all your sacrifices and support for my hockey journey. Thank you for believing in me and being a key part of my path. I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. I look forward to what is ahead and am excited about being a part of the Corsairs community.”
