Hooksett, NH – Morris Schneider, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche (NHA), has committed to Stevenson University for the Fall of 2025.
The 04’ native of Newton, MA joined the Avalanche in February, making an immediate impact. He scored a goal and an assist in his debut game against the New England Wolves, and has collected six goals and seven assists in nine games. Two of his goals have been game winners.
Mo has been a great addition to our team and he fit in right away,” Avalanche Head Coach Chris Cerrella said. “He plays hard every practice, shift, and game. I am very happy for him as Stevenson was where he truly wanted to be. He will be a great addition to their hockey culture and to the Stevenson academic community. I wish Mo and his family nothing but the best and can’t wait to see how he is doing next season at the NCAA hockey level.”
Schneider joins Pennsylvania Huntsmen forward Ryan Arendes as the second commitment to Stevenson this season. He will join five EHL alumni currently on the roster. The Mustangs compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and are a top-15 ranked program in the entire country. They are led by Head Coach Dominick Dawes.
“I am very excited about my commitment to Stevenson,” Schneider said. “They have strong academic programs and I am honored to be a Mustang next season. This commitment was exactly what I was looking for in a competitive college hockey program with strong academics. I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and the Avalanche program for helping me get here.”
