Hooksett, NH – Ben Moalusi, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Assumption University for the Fall of 2025.
An 04’ hailing from River Hills, Wisconsin, Moalusi is in his first year in the EHL. Missing time due to injury, Moalusi competed in sixteen regular season games, tallying two goals and seven assists.
“Ben came to us from New Hampton Prep with one year of junior hockey eligibility,” Avalanche Head Coach Chris Cerrella said. “He worked hard all year and put himself in a great position to get an offer to play college hockey next season even though he missed more than half the season with a knee injury. It was remarkable what he achieved this season and I am so proud of him. Coach Gorman at New Hampton did a great job with Ben and he came to us prepared for junior hockey and we prepared him for NCAA hockey. Assumption is adding a very good hockey player, student, and human being to their community. We will miss Ben in Hooksett.”
Moalusi joins Brayden Ingram (ECW) as the second commitment from this season’s class to the Greyhounds, but will be accompanied by a number of EHL alumni. Assumption competes in the Northeast-10 conference under Head Coach Michael Looney.
“I’m proud to announce my commitment to go play college hockey at Assumption University.” Moalusi said. “I would like to thank my parents, past coaches, and the Avalanche program for helping me along the way. Most importantly, I thank God for creating this opportunity for me. Can’t wait to be a Greyhound!”
