87's D-Man to Join Mustangs in Fall

Wall Township, NJ – Connor Santay, a defenseman for the New Jersey 87’s, has committed to Morrisville State for the Fall of 2025.

An 04’ out of Baldwinsville, NY, Santay is a two-year product of the EHL, spending his first year with the New York Apple Core. He debuted for the 87’s in November of this season, tallying five points in his first three games with the team. He finished the regular season with five goals and eight assists in 25 games.

“I am thrilled that Connor was able to find the perfect fit for his college,” 87’s Head Coach Adam Houli said. “SUNY Morrisville is getting a great player both on and off the ice. Connor was very open to our staff when he joined us and believed in what we can provide him. I am so happy he met his goal, and he will be a great player in college.”

Santay will join several EHL alumni when he arrives on campus. The Mustangs are led by Head Coach Kevin Krogol.

“I am so excited to be committed to SUNY Morrisville,” Santay said. “I loved my visit and really felt at home when I was there. I am looking forward to the next four years. I cannot thank my family, teammates, and coaches for everything they have done for me in getting to this level.”
