FLEMINGTON, NJ -- Christopher Benkovitz, a forward for the New Jersey Bears, has commitment to Arcadia University for the 2025-26 season.
An 04’ out of Jersey City, NJ, Benkovitz established himself as an elite forward in his two seasons in the EHL. Benkovitz added 41 points in 44 regular season games this season, creating a total of 28 goals and 49 assists in 94 games. He also represented the Bears with the Main All-Star Team.
“Chris had a great season for us,” said Bears Head Coach Jason Kilcoyne. “I am happy for him and his family, I wish him the best at Arcadia alongside his brother.”
His brother, Mike, will also be suiting up for the Knights come the Fall. Arcadia will bring in a trio of All-Stars from this past season: the Benkovitz brothers and Grant Burback (NHA).
“I am honored and excited to announce my commitment alongside my twin brother to Arcadia University to continue my academic and athletic career,” Benkovitz said. “I’d like to thank my parents for their support and sacrifices that helped make this possible. I am also very grateful for my teammates as well as Coach Kilcoyne and the New Jersey Bears organization for helping make this possible for me. Lastly, I want to thank Coach Ryan Heickert for this incredible opportunity to join Arcadia University in the upcoming season. Go Knights!”
