SEWELL, NJ -- Kieran Kenny, a defenseman for Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has committed to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for the 2025-26 season.
An 04’ out of Kalamazoo, MI, Kenny spent two seasons with Philadelphia in the EHL. This year, he more than doubled his output from his rookie season, tallying two goals and nine assists. In total, Kenny played in 94 games at the EHL level, recording sixteen points.
“Another family member from PHC EHL makes his commitment to college,” said PHC Head Coach Adam Bartholomay. “We could not be more happy for Kieran to make his commitment to MCLA and to Coach Ketts for giving him the opportunity. We look forward to watching Kieran excel at the college level and wish him nothing but the best. Kieran is a leader on and off the ice and has been a tremendous asset to our team for two seasons. Good luck, Showtime!”
MCLA is chock-full of EHL alumni, carrying seventeen players who called the EHL home.
Coach Adam often asked the team this year about who we played for,” Kenny said. “I play for those who have supported and helped me reach this goal. I play especially for my parents and brothers, who have encouraged me every step of the way in reaching this goal. I play for my teammates and coaches, both present and past. Without their support, this would have not been possible. I would like to thank Coach Adam specifically, for giving me an opportunity with PHC and advocating for me through this entire process. I am incredibly proud and privileged to have received an opportunity to further both my hockey and educational pursuits. I would like to thank Coach Ketts for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. PHC has been my family for the past two years and I cannot wait for my next four years at MCLA.”
