Bedford, MA – Owen Currier, a goaltender for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to Worcester State University for the 2025-26 season.
The 04’ out of Concord, NH is a product of the EHL’s ladder of development, climbing from EHLP to EHL and now to NCAA hockey. His EHL career started with the New England Wolves Premier team, where he served as their starter. This season, he registered a .913 and 2.76 in 19 games for the Wizards, 10 of which were wins.
“We’re very excited for Owen and his commitment to Worcester State,” Wizards Head Coach Kory Falite said. “He is so dedicated to his position and this sport, we are so happy that his hard work and perseverance paid off. Worcester State is getting a tremendous goalie and a better human. We wish him all the best moving forward.”
Currier will be joined by two East Division rivals in Myles Kidd and Hudson Perry (EHC) when he joins the Lancers in the Fall. They are led by Head Coach Jay Punsky.
“I’m super excited to get started with Worcester State,” said Currier. “Thank you to Coach Punsky for giving me this opportunity. I’d like to also thank my parents for their constant support throughout this journey and everyone who has helped me along the way including Coach Kory, Coach Ripa, Coach Pavlini and many more. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
