NORWALK, CT – Matt McCormack, a forward for the Connecticut RoughRiders (CTR), has committed to Manhattanville College for the 2025-2026 season.
An 04’ out of Bronxville, NY, McCormack played for two seasons in the EHL. This season was his most productive, scoring sixteen goals and adding ten assists in 38 games. He led his team in goals.
“It’s clear that Matthew McCormack can push a higher-end motor throughout his gameplay and it’s the foundation of his style,” said Roughriders Associate Head Coach Steven Brown. “He is a direct attacker who pushes the play and consistently puts in hard work throughout his shifts. His sustained pressure involves some type of contact as he establishes body position, steps into opponent lanes to get position, and attacks high-danger areas. He can create advantages on the ice, and blends puck protection and handling, allowing for cutback space to create plays or shots on goal.”
Manhattanville competes in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference under Head Coach David Turco.
“I want to thank Coach Lind & Brown for everything they’ve done for me, not just for believing in my potential, but for pushing me to become a better player every single day,” McCormack said. “Their guidance, support, and trust in my development have played a huge role in helping me get to this level, and I am truly grateful for the impact they’ve had on my path. Can’t wait for what’s ahead.”
