BOSTON, Mass. -- Connecticut Oilers head coach Eric Lind, who guided the Oilers to a Central Division title in 2013-14, was named the EHL Coach of the Year today as voted on by his fellow head coaches.

The Oilers franchise, which is only two years old, has a steady hand with Lind at the helm.  Last year the Oilers struggled through its first year of existence in the Eastern Junior Hockey League, before the team jumped to the EHL in 2013-14.  Despite the inconsistent landscape, Lind kept his operations steady and guided the Oilers to a 26-13-3-2 season. More importantly he has helped lead nine players to NCAA student-athlete opportunities next year, including three Division I commitments.
