BOSTON, Mass. -- The Eastern Hockey League has announced its Players of the Week for November 25-December 1, 2013.  Left to Right:  Corey Kennedy, Brenden Cain, Freddy Gerard.

DEFENSIVE:  Corey Kennedy, New York Bobcats
The 1995 birth year centerman from Clemmons, N.C., had his best effort of the season at the Showcase last weekend as the Bobcats won all three games by limiting opponents to only three goals.  Kennedy is a key face off man and penalty killer for the Bobcats, and he finished +3 on the weekend to lead the smothering team defensive effort

GOALTENDER:  Brenden Cain, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs
The 1994 birth year player netminder from Tilton, N.H., backstopped two of the three Monarch victories at the Showcase, including the 2-0 shutout over the Wolfpack on Friday.  He finished the weekend with a .944 save percentage and raised his record to 7-3-1-2 on the season.  He currently ranks fourth in the league with a GAA of 2.04.

OFFENSIVE:  Freddy Gerard, Boston Bandits
The 1994 birth year forward from Rocky River, Ohio, scored a goal and an assist in all three games this weekend for a six-point effort.  He assisted on the game-winners Friday and Saturday, and had a pair of dramatic points (4th goal and assist on 5th goal) Sunday as the Bandits scored two goals in the last 1:05 to tie the Rockets 5-5.
